Iris Smith (CO)
Longtime animal-rights advocate Iris Smith is an avid horse enthusiast and a founding partner of horse-racing syndications Triumphant Trio and Triumphant Four, as well as sole owner of Kaitar Racing. Aside from animal advocacy, Smith is well known in the community for her philanthropic efforts. Her humanitarian contributions have supported foundations including National Jewish Health, Maccabi World Union for The Iris Smith Museum of Jewish Sports, Camp del Corazon, Race to Erase MS, Michael J. Fox Foundation, Gloria Estefan Foundation, Cedars-Sinai Hospital, Teens for Food Justice, The Gordon Parks Foundation, The Children’s Diabetes Foundation, The Miami Project to Cure Paralysis and The Buoniconti Fund. She is also a patron of the arts and Tony award-winning producer. Smith is the founder of Once Upon a Time Productions, involved in creating and developing both Broadway theater productions and motion pictures. Select credits on Broadway include King Kong, the ten-time Tony award-winner The Band’s Visit and the Tony award-nominated On Your Feet! London credits include Dreamgirls. Film credits include Wakefield starring Bryan Cranston and Jennifer Garner ,and a documentary, Into the Now VR, which debuted at the 2018 Tribeca Film Festival. As an enthusiastic supporter of the arts, Smith proudly serves on the board of The Kennedy Center’s National Committee for the Performing Arts.

Elizabeth Stein (NY)
Attorney Elizabeth Stein is a solo practitioner with an office in New Hyde Park, New York, where she focuses exclusively on legal issues pertaining to animal rights, welfare, legislation and advocacy. Stein is New York counsel and staff attorney for the Nonhuman Rights Project, Inc. and is legal counsel to and sits on the board of various other animal-related organizations, including the Mayor’s Alliance for NYC’s Animals. She served as the co-chair of the Nassau Bar Association’s Animal Law Committee, was appointed to and served on the Town of Smithtown Animal Shelter Advisory Council, and serves on the New York City Bar Association’s Animal Law Committee. Stein also lectures, participates in panel discussions and appears frequently on radio and television.
